WARRANTY
LIMITED WARRANTY
Every new tires purchased from Hawk Tyre International Ltd. with our brand name or your authorized brand is warranted against defects in workmanship and material for the original tread depth of a new tire, limited to 12 months from date of manufacture. If an examination by an anthoriezed Hawk Tyre International Ltd. representative shows that any such tire failed as a result of workmanship or material condition, at the option of Hawk Tyre International Ltd., either be repaired at no charge or replaced with a Hawk Tyre International Ltd. product on a pro-rata basis for the unused tread life. This credited charging the customer for tread wear, prorated by multiplying the original purchase price of the tire by the percentage of usable tread depth* that has been worn from the tire. Cost of mounting, filling and any other service charges or applicable taxes are payable by the customer. A new tire will be replaced for free(excluding mounting and service charges) or credited if a defect in the workmanship or materials is found within the first 10% of tread wear.
LIMITED WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS: All OTR tire and tube warranties are subject to the following exclusions: 1. All warranties of HTI are limited to the original purchaser and are not assignable to subsequent purchasers. 2. Costs of mounting and balancing following pro-rated replacement or repair of tires or tubes, and applicable federal, state and local taxes, are not covered by warranties. 3. The following is not covered by the Limited Warranty: A).Tire branded or marked “Blemished” or “Non-adjustable”,or previously adjusted. B). Failure, damage or irregular wear due to: a). misuse, improper mounting, abuse, willful damage; b).Mechanical condition of vehicle, including improper alignment, improper inflation, defective brakes or shock absorbers; c).Misapplication of tire,use of improper inner tube; d).Road hazards (i.e. rock cuts, snag, puncture, cut separations, impact breaks etc.), wreck, collision. e). fire, oil,accidents, chemical corrosion. f).other externally-generated heat, use of tire chains, use of studs, water or other material entrapped inside during the tire mounting, vehicle damage. C).Tires mounted on rims which are not approved by the Tire & Rim Association. D).Overloading or use at speeds in excess of the maximum recommended speed E). Any modifications to the tire (added butress shoulders, regrooving, relugging, etc.) void all warranties. F). Any material added to the tire (tire fill, sealer, balancer, etc.) is not covered by this warranty and will not be compensated for in case of credit being issued for the tire. Use of a solid type fill (such as urethane) voids all warranties. 4. Claims for irregular wear are no covered. 5. Any tire which is operated above its TKPH rating is not covered. 6. All tube-type tires should be used with proper size tubes and flaps. 7. Warranties do not apply to original useable tread depth and do not extend to retreaded tires. 8. Any costs associated with the repair of tires are not covered unless previously approved by HTI 9. All obligations for any incidental or consequential damages are hereby excluded, inlcluding loss of use of vehicle and loss of time. 10.Tires older than three years from date of manufacture as determined by the tire serial number. Notes:* Usable tread depth divided by original tread depth equals percentage of adjustment. |
